Why We Support The Show
Rotary has a huge footprint here in Sault Ste Marie. Our major fundraisers are the 2 annual car draws which get tremendous support from the community. The funds raised allow the Rotary Club of Sault Ste Marie to give back to the community in very meaningful ways. Our club favours supporting youth and kids in our community, supporting organizations like the Thrive Child Development Centre, ARCH, Easter Seals and Paediatric Care at the SAHF. We also donate our time and funds to support community events like RotaryFest, the Sports Awards, the STEM Fair and Bell Celebrity Skate.
There was a clear lack of support for the youth pursuing arts in our community. The Rotary Awards Show is our way to provide much needed recognition and financial support to the youth in the Algoma region.

Rotary Areas of Focus

Training local leaders to prevent and mediate conflict, and supporting long-term peacebuilding in affected areas.
Disease Prevention and Treatment
Improving health infrastructure, training professionals, and providing education to combat diseases like HIV/AIDS and malaria.
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
Increasing equitable access to safe water and basic sanitation, along with providing hygiene education.
Maternal and Child Health
Reducing mortality rates by improving access to essential medical services, trained providers, and nutrition for mothers and children under five.
Basic Education and Literacy
Strengthening community capacity to provide education, increasing adult literacy, and reducing gender disparity in education.
Community Economic Development
Investing in people by supporting local entrepreneurs, creating jobs, and reducing poverty in underserved communities.
Supporting the Environment
The newest area of focus, dedicated to projects that protect, sustain, and restore the natural environment.
